Chuck and Carol have a long history of training horses in the northwest, and have an amazing legacy of winning horses, and winning horse and rider teams that trained under their expert guidance. Chuck first opened his own stables in 1960 and has been busy ever since. Carol opened her own training business in 1975, and then joined forces with Chuck to open their joint operation in 1990.
Their present facility in Abbotsford, BC boasts an 70X185 ft indoor arena, a 24 stall main barn and 7 stall auxiliary stabling facility, all on a stunning 5 acres in the beautiful Fraser Valley of British Columbia.
The Court Stables facility also offers a large heated grooming area, coffee room, farrier shop, and a beautiful client lounge/meeting room.
Each horse receives individualized care, including daily grooming, herd health program, laundry services and leg care. Riding lessons are included for all clients with a horse in full training. Court Stables specializes in American Saddlebred horses and the saddleseat breeds (Morgan, Friesian, Arabian, etc) as well as road horses and ponies. Western and/or Hunter pleasure training is also available.
Recently, Court Stables has been the home to the 2007 and 2008 NWSA High Point Open 5-Gaited horse (Megawatt, owned by Elizabeth Thompson), Roadster to Bike Open and Amateur (Li'l Town Flirt, owned by Harry Chapman), as well as many other champions, including Extra Radiant (Kay Sullivan), The Great Santini (Delores Glascoe) and the champion Pinto pony TT Harvest Moon (Maryanne Warland).
